Lunch Bunch will meet in the Parlor
Our LOVE BOX is in the parlor to help people. It is located on the shelf under the bulletin board in the parlor. If you have a concern about yourself or someone else, or if you want to leave a note of appreciation for someone, please write it on a 3 x 5 card and place it in the box. The Congregational Care Team will read the cards, and when possible, provide support in meeting those needs or communicating your “thanks”.
If you or someone you know is in need of a hospital or home visit, contact Rev. Janice Levering, 785-845-2585. The Care Team meets the first Sunday of each month immediately following worship.
If you have a prayer need and wish someone to pray with you, please contact our Prayer Team. This month’s contact person is Brandon Bruton 233.7388
As part of our outreach to the community, we have installed a Blessing Box in our yard near the Community Garden.
This is a small wood box containing non-perishable food and hygiene products. These items are free for anyone to take who is in need, and at the same time people in the neighborhood and our church can donate items by placing them inside the box. This is a way for our church to partner with the Blessing Box movement in Topeka.
We need volunteers from MCC Topeka to prepare a main dish, salad or veggies and dessert for Tue, February 20. Please contact Deb for more details on this opportunity to put our faith into action.
